When the matter is taken up for hearing, Mr.V.Panneer Selvam, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent submitted that the 1/4

total marks obtained by the petitioner is 100.75 and the cut off for Group II-A Posts for which the recruitment made is 111.75 for General turn (DW) and BC (DW).

2. Since the petitioner has obtained only 100.75 marks, which is much below than the cut off, the petitioner cannot expect a call letter as she cannot be within the zone of consideration.

3. Mr.P.Surendran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner had already reached the zone of consideration and only because of that, she was asked to upload the Certificates. But, at the time of uploading the Certificates only, her candidature was rejected for non production of Destitute Widow Certificate.

4. According to the learned Standing counsel for the respondent, the ratio between the Physical Certificate Verification and the Counselling is 1 : 1 : 3 and 1 : 1: 5 and counselling was conducted only in 2/4

accordance with the said ratio.

5. As the petitioner did not have the cut-off marks, it is meaningless to invite her for Certificate Verification just in order to show that there are persons who have got marks higher than her and for whom posts have been given.

6. In view of the same, this Contempt Petition is closed without further action. Consequently, the sub application is closed. 18.07.2024 NCC: Yes/No Index : Yes/No Speaking/Non-Speaking order mbi 3/4
