Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and police protection to conduct Kabbadi Tournament from Saturday 11.02.2017 at 10.00 p.m. to Sunday 12.02.2017 at 11.00 a.m. at Pavoorchathiram Village, Tenkasi Taluk, Tirunelveli District. For Petitioner : Mr.B.Anandan For Respondents : Mr.M.Govindan, Special Government Pleader.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Kabbadi Tournament in the place mentioned in the petition from 11.02.2017 to 12.02.2017, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

2.Mr.M.Govindan, learned Special Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents.

3.It is seen from the records that on 10.01.2017 a representation has been given to the respondents for the purpose mentioned in the petition and the same has not been considered. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the following order can be passed.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Pavoorchathiram Police Station, Tirunelveli District is directed to look into the representation dated 10.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of three days.
