ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the respondent to disburse the Earnest Money Deposit and With Held Amount for the works completed by the petitioner by considering the representation, dated 24.06.2024. 1/4

2. Heard the learned counsel on both sides and carefully perused the entire materials available on record.

3. When the matter came up hearing, Mr.K.K.Kannan, learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent would submit that only because of the Audit objection in the Local Fund Audit, the respondent is not in a position to disburse the amounts.

4. Per contra, Mr.J.Anandkumar, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would submit that the respondent is not at liberty to keep the payment pending for the long period of two years.

5. In view of the above, the respondent is directed to consider the representation submitted by the petitioner dated 24.06.2024 and pass appropriate orders in disbursing the Earnest Money Deposit anddisbursal of the With Held Amount within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the above direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
