****** C O M M O N O R D E R These writ petitions have been filed, seeking to direct the respondents herein to disburse the amount due to the petitioner on completion of works done in the Panchayats under the 3rd Respondent based on his representation dated 06.01.2017 as well as based on the proceeding of the 2nd Respondent dated 11.01.2017.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The case of the petitioner is that he was allotted several contracts to carry out the electrical works in various

Village Panchayats of Virudhunagar District and though he has completed the assignment/task successfully as per the contract during the year 2013-2014, the respondents have not settled his bills so far and has been keeping the same without sanctioning the amount. Pursuant to the representation made by the petitioner, the Block Development Officer, vide communication dated 02.05.2017, had requested the District Collector, Virudhunagar District for allotment of funds from the common pool to sanction the amount. Even despite such communication, no orders have been passed by the District Collector as of now. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court with the above prayer.

4. The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that upon receipt of suitable orders from the District Collector to be passed, the amount will be released to the petitioner forthwith in respect of various works executed by him under the contract.

5. In view of the above submission, this Court directs the 1st respondent / District Collector to consider the claim of the petitioner sympathetically and pass necessary orders, within two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, enabling the Block Development Officer to settle the same to the petitioner.

6. With the above direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
