Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct dance programme (Aadal Padal) on 06.08.2019 in the eve of "Arulmigu Muthumariamman Kovil Temple festival" situated at T.Puthukudi Village, Thondi Post, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, in pursuant to the representation dated 22.07.2019.

O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the second respondent to grant permission and protection to conduct dance programme (Aadal Padal) on 06.08.2019 in the eve of "Arulmigu Muthumariamman Kovil Temple festival" situated at T.Puthukudi Village, Thondi Post, Thiruvadanai Taluk, Ramanathapuram District, in pursuant to the representation dated 22.07.2019.

2. Heard both sides.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that, seeking permission and police protection to conduct the dance programme, namely Adalpadal on 06.08.2019 in connection with the festival of the above said temple, the petitioner has given a representation on https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

22.07.2019 to the second respondent and the said representation was not considered so far. Hence, the present Writ Petition has been filed for the aforesaid relief.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal side) appearing for the respondents, on instructions, submitted that the representation of the petitioner will be considered, however, restricting the timing of conducting programme from 07.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, without going into the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 22.07.2019 and grant permission to conduct the dance programme, namely Aadal Padal on 06.08.2019 from 07.00 p.m., to 10.00 p.m., imposing necessary conditions for maintaining law and order, forthwith.

6. The Writ Petition stands disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
