ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondents to provide appointment to the petitioner, on compassionate ground, based on his educational qualification. 2.The learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that seeking appointment on compassionate ground, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 28.11.2016 to the respondents. However, the representation of the petitioner has not been considered by the respondents for quite a long time and hence, the petitioner is before this Court, praying for appropriate directions to the respondents.
3.Upon notice, the respondents have filed a counter affidavit and paragraph No.7 whereof reads thus:
"7.I humbly submit in these circumstances, the request of the petitioner could not be considered for compassionate ground appointment.
Already the representation of the petitioner's mother has been https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
disposed vide Letter No.002881/HR2/SETC/2009, dated 24.03.2009."
4.In reply to the above, the learned Counsel for the petitioner submitted that it was the application submitted by the petitioner's mother and still the petitioner's representation is pending with the respondents and the same shall be directed to be considered on merits, for which, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents has no serious objection.
5.Under such circumstances, this Court, without going into the merits of the case, directs the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 28.11.2016, on merits and in accordance with law and pass necessary orders, after affording opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
