These writ petitions have been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioners at the time of filing nomination and canvassing the voters in the upcoming local body election, by considering their representations, dated 29.09.2016. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Mr.K.P.Krishna Doss, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the respondents. By consent, the writ petitions itself are taken up for final disposal.

3. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) on instructions would submit that based on the complaints of the petitioners a case was registered in Cr.No.346 of 2016 and the Executive Magistrate has now initated proceedings under Section 107 Cr.P.C., against both the parties.
