Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to grant permission and protection for cultural event namely Adalpadal scheduled to be held on 05.05.2017 and 07.05.2017 at night in connection with Chithirai Festival at Arulmigu Sri Utchimahali Amman Temple at Avanathaankottai Village, Aranthangi Taluk, Pudukottai District, by considering the petitioner's representation dated 19.04.2017. For Petitioner : Mr.E.Balasubramanian For Respondents : Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, Additional Government Pleader.

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus. 2.Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondents. 3.It is seen from the records that on 19.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

representation dated 19.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
