This contempt petition has been filed to punish the Contemnor/Respondent herein for the willful disobedience of the order passed by this Court in Crl.O.P(MD)No.16410 of 2019, dated 12.11.2019.

2.This Court, by an order, dated 12.11.2019 in Crl.O.P(MD) No.16410 of 2019 directed the respondent police to register the case as directed by the learned Judicial Magistrate, Aruppukottai vide order, dated 30.07.2019 in Cr.M.PNo.3608 of 2019 within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Cont.P.(MD).No.1076 of 2020 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side) appearing for the respondent police would submit that as directed by this Court, the respondent police has registered the case in Cr.No.75 of 2019 for the offence under Sections 294(b), 384 and 506(i) as against nine accused persons. 4.Recording the said submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.side), this contempt petition is closed.
