ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents to consider his representation dated 13.06.2025, seeking correction of the UDR records pertaining to Survey No.80/1, with an extent of 13.5 cents , in Melaputhaneri Village, Palayamkottai, Tirunelveli District.
2.Heard the arguments of Mr.M.Perumal, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.A.Baskaran, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents. By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
3.According to the petitioner, the subject property was purchased by his father, Enamuthu, under a registered sale deed dated 16.09.1974 and the said property was wrongly classified as Government Pathway and Kalam Poramboke. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a
representation before the second respondent on 13.06.2025, seeking correction of the UDR records and the same has not been considered. Hence, he has come before this Court.
4.The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents would submit that the representation of the petitioner was submitted only on 13.06.2025 and the same will be considered in accordance with law.
5.In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 13.06.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits, within a period of sixteen weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after affording opportunity to the petitioner and the other interested parties. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
