Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to grant permission and adequate police protection to conduct the "Innisai Kacheri Programme" on 31.01.2017 to 09.02.2017 at about 10.00 p.m. to 03.00 a.m. on the eve of temple Festival in the Tamil month of Thai Festival "Sri Arulmigu Ramalinga Swamy Temple" is situated in Panagudi Village, Tirunelveli District based on the petitioner's representation dated 11.01.2017, within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This writ petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondents to give necessary permission for conducting the programmes mentioned in the petition on the basis of representation dated 11.01.2017, by way of issuing a writ of mandamus.

3.It is seen from the records that on 11.01.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered.

4.Considering the aforesaid factual circumstances, the following order can be passed.

5.In fine, this writ petition is allowed in part without costs and the second respondent viz., Inspector of Police, Panagudi Police Station is directed to look into the representation dated 11.01.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of three days.
