ORDER

The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to correct the name of the petitioner's father in the patta issued to him in respect of the property situated in S.Nos.86/3D and 91/3A in Thiruchuli Taluk, Virudhunagar District.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.D.S.Nedunchezian, learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents.

3. By consent of both the parties, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the stage of admission itself.

4. The case of the petitioner is that the subject property is his ancestral property. In the Patta issued to the petitioner in Patta No.234 and Patta.No.238, the petitioner's father's name is wrongly mentioned as Muthaiah Thevar and Muthirula Devar instead of Ramasamy. Therefore, he submitted a representation on 28.02.2025 before the 2nd respondent, 2/4

seeking correction of the petitioner's father's name in the patta. The same has not been considered. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.

5. The learned Government Advocate who takes notice for the respondents would submit that if the petitioner produce necessary documents, his request will be considered on merits within the time stipulated by this Court.

6. In view of the same, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 28.02.2025 and pass final orders on its own merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, after issuing notice to the petitioner and other interested parties, if any.
