O R D E R
The disqualification slip issued by the respondent disqualifying the candidature of the petitioner for selection to the post of Grade-II Police Constable is under challenge in the present Writ Petition.
2. The petitioner participated in the process of selection for appointment to the post of Grade-II Police Constable. He was successful in the written examination and during the physical verification test, the petitioner failed in chest measurement test. The petitioner's chest measurement was 79 cms. However, the petitioner claims that his chest measurement was 82 cms.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader objected the contention by stating that the petitioner's chest measurement was 79 cms and the petitioner preferred an appeal before the Committee. During the second measurement, it was 81 cms. However, the minimum is 86 cms and the petitioner failed in the chest expansion test. Therefore, he was not selected.
4. The petitioner raised an objection regarding the first measurement taken by the Selection Authorities. An appeal is preferred by the petitioner and the second measurement was taken. In the second measurement also, the petitioner has failed. Thereafter, the petitioner filed a writ petition and the photograph regarding the measurement taken was also shown to the petitioner in order to satisfy the genunity.
5. This being the factum, there is no reason whatsoever to further consider the grievance of the petitioner as he was unsuccessful in the physical verification test, more so, chest measurement test.
6. Accordingly, the Writ Petition stands dismissed. However, there shall be no order as to costs.
