ORDER

When the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned standing counsel for the first respondent submitted that the petitioner's application has since been closed. The petitioner is permitted to submit a fresh application for issuance of passport.

2.The learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) for the jurisdictional police clarifies that there is no criminal case registered against the petitioner. 3.Therefore, there cannot be any impediment for processing the petitioner's application. Upon the petitioner submitting a fresh application for issuance of passport, the same shall be processed expeditiously and passport shall be issued to the petitioner.

4.The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
