Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to extend the Parole leave for a period of another one month to the petitioner's son namely Pandi, S/o Madasamy to undergo surgery and medical treatments.

The petitioner's son viz., Pandi is a life convict (Convict No.3358 and is undergoing life sentence in the Central Prison, Palayamkottai. The grievance of the petitioner is that her son suffers from serious ailment and requires urgent medical treatment and therefore, the petitioner has made an application to the authorities for grant of ordinary leave for 30 days for taking medical treatment and also for settling certain property dispute. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Heard Mr.S.M.A.Jinnah, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.T.S.Mohammed Mohideen, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

3. The learned Additional Government Pleader submitted that a representation dated 26.11.2015 given by the petitioner has been considered by the Superintendent of Prison and a recommendation has been sent to the Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Madurai for considering the claim for grant of ordinary leave to the petitioner's son and the said recommendation has been sent by a communication dated 22.03.2017.

4. In view of the above, the Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Madurai is directed to pass appropriate orders expeditiously preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of.
