ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023 and to issue Patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the properties in Survey Nos.310/1, 311/2, and 311/1, situated at Mahadevi Revenue Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the parties.

3. According to the petitioner, she submitted a representation dated 30.05.2023 to the respondents, seeking issuance of Patta in respect of the properties in Survey Nos.310/1, 311/2, and 311/1, Mahadevi Revenue Village, Musiri Taluk, Trichy District. Despite the submission, the respondents have not taken any action on the representation. The inaction of the respondents is

arbitrary and amounts to non-compliance with their statutory duty to consider and dispose of such applications. Hence, the Writ Petition.

4. The learned Government Advocate for the respondents submits that the petitioner's representation will be considered on its merits and in accordance with law.

5. Recording the above submission, and without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with a direction to the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 30.05.2023, on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The representation shall be considered and disposed of after conducting an enquiry. The first respondent is directed to provide reasonable opportunity during such enquiry to the petitioner and also to the other persons, who may be affected by such decision.
