The writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction, directing the respondents to grant permission and adequate police protection for conducting Kabadi tournament at Kannattangudi Village, Puthupattinam Post, Ramanathapuram District, held on 21.01.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 12.01.2017.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents would submit that the prayer sought for in this writ petition has become infructuous, since the date on which the petitioner sought for permission to conduct the Kabadi Tournament has got expired. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.Recording the above submission, this petition is disposed of giving liberty to the petitioner to file a fresh petition for seeking appropriate remedy in the manner known to law. No costs.
