PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Mandamus directing the second respondent to issue Community Certificates to petitioner's daughters in accordance with the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976.

[Order of the Court was made by T.S.SIVAGNANAM,J] The petitioner seeks issuance of a direction upon the second respondent Tahsildar, Vilavancode Taluk to issue community certificate to his daughters in accordance with the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Orders (Amendment) Act, 1976. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. It is not in dispute that the application filed by the

petitioner, dated 20.10.2016 has been received by the office of the second respondent.

3. The learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents submitted that reasonable time may be granted to the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner.

4. Considering the fact that the petitioner's daughters are school going children, the second respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 20.10.2016, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. In the result, the writ petition is disposed of with the above direction. No costs.
