Respondents Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition is filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C., to direct the 2nd respondent to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner to clean the lands comprised in Survey Nos.1301/2A, 1310/3 and 1308/5 measuring to an extent of 12 3⁄4 cents, 7 cents and 7 1⁄2 cents respectively at Melur Village, Srirangam Taluk, Trichy District by considering the petitioner's representations dated 17.12.2020 and 27.08.2021. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

2.The petitioner wants to be provided with adequate police protection for cleaning the petition mentioned lands. The petitioner and the private respondent are pangalees. There appears to be a partition dispute between them. The petitioner would state that a preliminary decree was passed based on the compromise between parties. If that be so, it is for the petitioner to move the civil Court for passing final decree. No direction can be issued to the second respondent for providing police protection in a matter clearly involving a civil dispute. It is for the parties to workout the rights in the jurisdictional civil Court. I make it clear that https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/ 1/2

Crl.O.P(MD)No.13812 of 2021 I have not gone into the merits of the matter. Leaving open the rights of the petitioner, this criminal original petition is dismissed.
