Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to grant permission for conducting the Chithirai Festival from 09.05.2017 to 12.05.2017 along with to perform the cultural programme of Innisai Katcheri and Adal Padal on 11.05.2017 and 12.05.2017 at 9.00 P.M. - 01.00 a.m. in Sri Santhana Mariamman Temple.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by A.SELVAM, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to direct the respondent to give necessary permission for conducting Innisai Katcheri and Adalpadal programme in the place mentioned therein, by way of issuing a Writ of Mandamus.

2.Mr.K.Guru, learned Additional Government Pleader, has taken notice for the respondent.

3.It is seen from the records that on 24.04.2017 a representation has been given, but the same has not been considered. Under the said circumstances, this Court is inclined to pass the following order.

4.In fine, this Writ Petition is allowed in part without costs and the respondent is directed to look into the representation dated 24.04.2017 and dispose of the same within a period of two days.
