ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents.

2. By the impugned proceedings dated 15.06.2022, the District Collector, Madurai had constituted the District Level Selection Committee for appointing one or more Fit persons as Kazi for Madurai District.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner took me through the contents of the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition. I am not persuaded by the submissions advanced by the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner.

4. As rightly pointed out by the learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, the impugned proceedings are in consonance with the G.O(Ms)No.30, Backward Classes / Most Backward Classes and Minorities Welfare Department, dated 05.07.2002. The constitution of the District Level Selection Committee will not in any way affect the rights of the writ petitioner. If any appointment is made by the said Committee and the 2/4

same is also accepted by the Government and if the petitioner is at the impression that his rights have been infringed, the petitioner can always question the same. This writ petition has been prematurely filed.

5. Leaving open the rights and remedies of the petitioner, this writ petition is dismissed. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
