This writ petition has been filed for a direction to the respondents herein to give permission and provide police protection to conduct the Kodai Festival of Arulmighu Sri Sudalaimadasamy Thirukovil situated at GopalasamuthiramSeevalaperi, Cheranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District scheduled to be held from 15.05.2017 to 16.05.2017 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 30.01.2017.
2. It is seen that this petitioner has given a representation on 30.01.2017 for providing police protection for the conduct of Kodai festival on 15.05.2017 at Arulmighu Sri https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
Sudalaimadasamy Thirukovil situated at GopalasamuthiramSeevalaperi, Cheranmahadevi Taluk, Tirunelveli District and thereafter, has filed the present writ petition.
3. It is not the case of the petitioner that he needs protection for performing any particular ritual or pooja in the said Temple. He only seeks police protection for the orderly conduct of the festival.
4. In view of the above, the respondent police will ensure that no law and order problem arises during the said festival. 5.With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
