This Writ Petition has been filed in the nature of Mandamus seeking a direction to the respondent to dispose of the petition in A3 No.2375 of 2014 pending on the file of the Revenue Divisional Officer, Revenue Divisional Office, Sivagangai District.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner states that the petition has been pending from the year 2014.

3. The learned Special Government Pleader however states that only an application has been filed and no further document has been forwarded by the petitioner herein. It is also contended by the learned Special Government Pleader that an order has been passed directing the petitioner to approach the District Revenue Officer and this order was passed in the year 2014. The petitioner has come to the court after 8 years, but, however since the issue relates to the land if the petitioner files proper application before the District Revenue Officer, Sivagangai on or before 31.07.2023, the same shall be taken and an appropriate order shall be passed in the manner known to law as expeditiously as possible.

4. With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
