ORDER
Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.
2. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the first respondent to complete the process pursuant to the proceedings in Direct.No.B1/43332/2012 on the application of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2006 for compassionate appointment and pass final orders, within a stipulated time.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is seeking compassionate appointment in the place of her father, who died on 10.05.2004. Though it is stated that she had applied for the said appointment within time, there was no progress in the same. A notice was issued by the first respondent on 05.02.2015 calling upon the petitioner to appear for an enquiry on 19.02.2015 wherein the petitioner appeared before the first respondent. The Thasildar, Madurai, had also conducted an enquiry and submitted his report. Despite the same, there is no order passed on the same.
4. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 12.07.2006 and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
