ORDER:- This Petition coming on for orders on this day and upon perusing the petition and the affidavit filed in support thereof and the order passed by this court in CRL OP(MD)No.9085 of 2024 dated 21/06/2024 and upon hearing the arguments of M/s. S. Karthik, Advocate for the Petitioners and of Mr. M. Sakthi Kumar, Government Advocate for the 1st and 2nd respondents, this Court made the following order:
This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is filed seeking extension of time granted in Crl.OP(MD) No.9085 of 2024.
2.While ordering Crl.OP(MD) No.9085 of 2024, this Court, directed the petitioners to surrender before the learned Judge, Special Court for Exclusive trial of Scheduled castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act cases, Dindigul within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of that order.
3.The learned counsel for the petitioners submits that the father of the second petitioner was admitted in the hospital, due to which, they could not surrender before the Special Court. Hence, they seeks extension of time.
4.In view of the above, this Criminal Miscellaneous Petition is ordered and a further period of 10 days from today is granted to the petitioners to surrender before the Special Court.
