O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondents to grant appropriate permission and adequate police protection to conduct the Kabadi Tournament on 01.07.2023 at about 10.00 p.m. to 02.07.2023 at about 08.00 p.m. in the ground, situating opposite to A1 Meera Store at Kulamangalam village, Madurai North Taluk, Madurai District based on the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2023 within the time limit that may be stipulated by this Court.

2.Mr.B.Nambiselvan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor, takes notice for the respondents.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the representation that was made by the petitioner, on 23.06.2023, seeking permission to conduct day and night Kabadi Competition. Since the same was not considered so far, this writ petition has been filed. 2/5

4.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that they have been seeking permission to conduct the tournament for two days i.e., 01.07.2023 and 02.07.2023 and the time sought for conducting the tournament is in the day and night time also. He would further submit that they may be permitted to conduct the tournament on day time and also by restricting the days. 5.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is ready to conduct the Kabadi Tournament during the day time.

6.In view of the submissions made on either side, the second respondent is hereby directed to consider the representation that has been made by the petitioner and pass orders immediately, by restricting the time, imposing necessary conditions, which are reasonable, depending upon the ground situation, by following the order passed by the Hon'ble Division Bench of this Court in the case of C.Sathasivam Vs. The Superintendent of Police, Trichy District and another, in W.P.(MD).No. 12535 of 2023, dated 24.05.2023 and in the light of the circular of the 3/5

7.With the above said directions, this writ petition stands disposed of.
