Prayer: This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C. to direct the first respondent to provide police protection to the petitioner to restore and get water from the channel situated on west side of the petitioner's property at Survey No.446/3, Iruvappuram- Kumarapuram Village, Srivaikundam Taluk, Tuticorin District from second and third respondents and his men.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking for police protection.

2.It is seen from records that the petitioner has not made any complaint or representation to the respondent police in this regard and it looks like a continuous dispute between the petitioner and the third respondent with regard to the channel which is running through agricultural lands belonging to the petitioner and the third respondent.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that this channel is a public channel and is maintained by revenue authorities. The third respondent had breached the channel and the revenue authorities in order to restore the channel is seeking for https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

police protection.

4. In view of the breach in the channel, the petitioner is not able to take care of his agricultural land and there is also water logging. It is left open to the petitioner to give appropriate complaint before the respondent police and the respondent police shall call the parties and enquire the same and take appropriate action in accordance with law.

5. The Criminal Original Petition is disposed of with the above direction.
