Respondents Prayer: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st and 2nd respondent herein to consider the petitioner's representation, dated 22.12.2015 and to approve and regularise her appointment as Assistant Professor in Zoology in the Scott Christian College, Nagercoil, in the sanctioned retirement vacancy of Dr.S.Sam Manohar Dhas with effect from 29.06.2015 with monetary and all other attendant benefits, in the light of similarly placed person's appointment and his proceedings vide Na.Ka.No.24811/F2/2015, dated 20.10.2015, based on the order passed in W.P.No.16898 of 2015, dated 15.06.2015. ORDER

The petitioner has come up with the Writ Petition seeking a direction to the first and second respondents to consider her representation, dated 22.12.2015.

2. The case of the petitioner is that she was appointed as Assistant Professor Zoology in Scott Christian College on 29.06.2015. But, till today her appointment is not approved by the first respondent. It is her case that similarly placed persons' appointments were approved from the date of appointment vide proceedings of the first respondent in Na.Ka.No.24811/F2/2015, dated 20.10.2015 pursuant to the order passed by this Court. Hence, she had made a representation to the first and second respondents on 03.12.2015 and also again on 22.12.2015 seeking to approve her appointment as Assistant Professor in Zoology with effect from 29.06.2015.

3. Considering the limited scope of the prayer made in this Writ Petition, without giving any opinion on the merits of claim made by the petitioner, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 22.12.2015 and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
