ORDER

2. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner has filed this Writ Petition seeking a direction, directing the respondents 2 to 4 to conduct enquiry for cancelling the patta No.538 in Survey No.42/1 measuring to an extent of 5 acre 21 cents in lanthai village in Ramanathapuram and assigned patta to the petitioner by considering the petitioner's representation, dated 29.08.2016, within a stipulated time.

4. According to the petitioner, he is the owner of the above said land. Subsequently, the above said land has been subdivided. After sub-division, the name of one Udaiyan, S/o. Vallimadan has been wrongly entered in the patta. Hence, he has filed an application before the second respondent, on 29.08.2016, seeking to delete the name of the said Udaiyan. But, till date, no order has been passed in the said application. Hence, the petitioner has filed this Writ Petition.

5. Since the application filed by the petitioner, dated 29.08.2016, is pending with the second respondent, without going into the merits of the case, this Court directs the second respondent to consider the application of the petitioner, dated 29.08.2016 and pass suitable orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, after giving notice to all the parties concerned, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
