Heard the learned counsel for the revision petitioner. Issuance of notice to the respondent is dispensed with.

2.The petitioner is landlord. She filed R.L.T.O.P.No.1 of 2020 on the file of the Rent Controller for evicting the respondent. The R.L.T.O.P was allowed. Questioning the same, the respondent filed R.L.T.A.No.15 of 2023. In the said appeal, interim stay was granted in I.A.No.1 of 2023. Grant of interim stay till the disposal of the appeal is put to challenge in this civil revision petition. 3.There is no merit in this challenge. If interim stay is not granted, the appeal will become infructuous. Therefore, the appellate authority rightly granted interim order. Interference is not warranted. The civil revision petition is dismissed. However, taking note of the fact that the appeal is pending for quite some time, the learned I Additional District Judge, Madurai is directed to dispose of R.L.T.A.No.15 of 2023 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
