ORDER

The present Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to provide any employment to the petitioner as eligible for his qualification on compassionate grounds within the time stipulated by this Court by considering his representation, dated 02.09.2013. 2.The petitioner's father namely R.Krishnamoorthy worked as Driver in the Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation at Sengottai Branch and his duty EDP ID number is 5823 and he served for more than 26 years. While so, his father died on 04.03.2011, when he was working at Sengottai Depot. The petitioner K.Ayyanar made an application for compassionate appointment on 02.09.2013. Since the same has not been considered so far, the petitioner has filed the present Writ Petition.

3.When the matter is taken up for hearing today, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents circulated letter No.Dep1936/HR2/SETCTN/2013, dated 06.02.2021, wherein it is 2/4

clearly mentioned that the petitioner K.Ayyanar's name was registered for appointment on compassionate ground with the respondent Corporation and at present his seniority is at serial No.411. The Corporation, while undertaking to employ the petitioner by all means, insisted that the petitioner have to wait until his seniority ripens. 4.In view of the above, this Writ Petition stands disposed of directing the respondents to do the necessary in appointing the petitioner at the earliest.
