The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking a direction to respondents 2 and 3 to process and release a sum of Rs.44,83,304/-, claimed to be due for nine Paver Block Road works executed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) in Thanarkarkulam Village Panchayat, along with applicable interest for the delayed payment.
2.According to the petitioner, he was awarded work orders for the execution of nine Paver Block Road projects under MGNREGS and completed the works satisfactorily. After completion, he submitted bills for payment of Rs.44,83,304/- to the third respondent. However, the third respondent informed him that the required funds had to be allocated by 2/6
the second respondent. Consequently, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 20.04.2026 to the respondents seeking disbursement of the amount. Since no action was taken on the representation, the present writ petition was filed.
3.The learned Government Advocate, appearing for respondents 1 to 3, submitted on instructions that the petitioner's representation dated 20.04.2026 would be considered and disposed of by the second respondent on its own merits within the time stipulated by the Court. This submission was recorded.
4.Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's claim, this Court directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the representation dated 20.04.2026 in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders.
5.The said exercise shall be completed within four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the order.

6.Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No order as to costs.
