ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to issue Legal Heir Certificate by taking into account of the petitioner's representation, dated 23.09.2016.

2. I have heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is the daughter of one Arulanantham Pillai and after his demise, the petitioner filed an application before the 2nd respondent to issue legal heir certificate for the legal heirs of the deceased Arulanantham Pillai, on 23.09.2016. Since no action has been taken on the said representation, the petitioner has come forward with the present Writ Petition. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. In the above circumstances, the 2nd respondent / Tahsildar, Madurai North, Madurai is directed to consider the petitioner's application and to issue legal heirs certificate to the petitioner, after verifying the genuineness of the request, within a period of 12 weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
