PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records on the file of the third respondent in connection with the impugned order of punishment issued in Tha.Pa.No.Ep.P2/19/2022 Rule 3(a) dated 16.06.2022 and consequent rejection of appeal by the second respondent in his impugned proceeding in Na.Ka.No.C4/Ma.Mu.27/2022, dated 23.12.2022 and quash the both as illegal and arbitrary and consequently direct the respondents to provide all monetary and service benefit within the time that may be stipulated by this Court.

The instant writ petition has been filed by a Sub-Inspector of Police, challenging the order of punishment imposed by the original authority on 16.06.2022, which was confirmed by the appellate authority on 23.12.2022.

2. Pending writ petition, the revisional authority, namely, the first respondent herein has allowed the revision filed by the writ petitioner and has modified the punishment as "Referred Censure for Six Months". This order has not been challenged by the writ petitioner. 2/4

3. In view of the subsequent events, this Writ Petition stands closed with liberty to the writ petitioner to challenge the order of the first respondent dated 06.02.2024, if he is so advised.
