Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 2nd respondent herein to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct "Cock Fight" as per the schedule dated 20.05.2017 and 21.05.2017 during festival of Arulmigu Rajarajeshwari Temple at Virattippathu 2nd Stop, Theni Main Road, Madurai by considering his representation, dated 22.04.2017.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed by Mr.S.Kannan under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to grant permission to the petitioner to conduct "Cock Fight" as per the schedule, dated 20.05.2017 and 21.05.2017 during festival of Arulmigu Rajarajeshwari Temple at Virattippathu 2nd Stop, Theni Main Road, Madurai by considering his representation, dated 22.04.2017.

2. Heard Mr.B.Arun, learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.K.P.Krishna Dosss, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

3.The learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent has no hesitation to grant permission, but the petitioner has to produce the No Objection Certificate from the owner of the land where the Cock Fight is going to be conducted.

4.The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that he is ready to abide the said condition.

5.Therefore, on production of No Objection Certificate by the petitioner obtained from the owner of the land where the Cock Fight is scheduled to be held, the respondent shall consider and pass orders in accordance with.

6.With the above directions, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is also closed.
