Mr.S.Satheeshkumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents.

2. By consent of parties, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3. The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus directing the second respondent to publish the final seniority list by considering the petitioners' written objections, dated 12.10.2015 before effecting promotions to the Posts of Block Development Officer, within a stipulated time.

4. The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are working as Deputy Block Development Officers in Pudukkottait District under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department. In Pudukkottai District, promotions were made from the Post of Steno Typists to Assistant and all of them were placed above the petitioners. Hence, the petitioner made objections before the second respondent. The same is said to be still pending.

5. Therefore, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the written objections made by the petitioners, dated 12.10.2015 before publishing the final seniority list and pass appropriate orders on the same, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With the above direction, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No Costs.
