Respondent PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying this Court to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent herein to disburse the arrears of salary, Family Welfare Fund, General Provident Fund, Family Pension, and all other monetary benefits due to her deceased husband Selvaraj, who died while in service, to the petitioner based on the representation dated 22.11.2023 within a time limit stipulated by this Court.

O R D E R

The present writ petition has been filed by the wife of the deceased employee of the respondent Corporation seeking a mandamus to disburse the terminal benefits and other benefits of her husband.

2. The petitioner's husband was working as a Sweeper in the respondent Municipality and he was suspended on 24.10.2014. The suspension was revoked on 04.12.2014 and he was acquitted in the criminal case on 11.10.2021 and he passed away on 09.02.2022. The petitioner has given a representation to the respondent Municipality on various occasions. However, the said representations have not been considered. Hence, the present writ petition.

3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned counsel appearing for the respondent.

4. In the light of the above said facts, the respondent Municipality is directed to disburse the admissible terminal benefits and other benefits to the 2/4

writ petitioner within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above said observations, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
