Respondents PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, forbearing the 1st and 2nd respondent from continuing and conducting any UDR Patta proceedings in respect of the land of the petitioner at Survey No.856/02 at Andipatti Fit-I Andipatti Village, Theni District, and passing any order in the same and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 6 not to take any patta proceedings in respect of the same land contrary to the judgment of the District Munsif Court, Andipatti, dated 01.07.2013 in O.S.No.169 of 2011 as ordered in the judgment of this Court dated 07.03.2014 in W.A. (MD)No.793 of 2012 and pass such order appropriate order against the respondents 1 to 4 for misusing their official and statutory powers. ORDER

The petitioners seek issuance of writ of mandamus, to forbear the respondents 1 and 2 from continuing or conducting any UDR patta proceedings pending.

2. Heard the learned counsel on either side.

3. The prayer sought for by the writ petitioners is to forbear the respondents 1 and 2 from continuing and conducting any UDR patta proceedings, in respect of the lands in survey No. 856 /02, Andipatti village, Theni District.

4. Today, (ie.,29.04.2025), the learned Additional Government Pleader on instructions submits that no enquiry proceedings are pending, on the file of respondents 1 and 2.

5. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. It is made clear that in the event of any orders having been passed by the 3/5

first or second respondents in the said proceedings, it shall be open to the petitioners or the seventh respondent, to challenge the same in accordance with law. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed.
