ORDER

This writ petition has been filed, seeking a writ of Certiorarified Mandamus to quash the impugned order dated 04.10.2016, passed by the fourth respondent. The petitioner also sought a direction to the third respondent to accept the nomination form of the petitioner to the post of President, Poolampalayam Panchayat, Karur District, without insisting him to the produce no due certificate.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing on 11.09.2017, there was no representation for the petitioner and hence, the matter was directed to be listed on 13.09.2017 under the caption 'for dismissal'.

3. Even today, there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner either in person or through Counsel, despite the fact that the matter is specifically listed today under the caption 'for dismissal'. Hence, this writ petition is dismissed for nonprosecution. No costs. Consequently connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
