ORDER
The petitioner has come up with the above writ petition seeking for the issuance of a writ of mandamus to direct the respondents to provide 35 kgs rice per month periodically to the petitioner's family card in No.21/G/0290428 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 12.09.2016 within the time stipulated by this Court.
2.Heard Mr.I.S.Abeer Mohamed, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and Mr.R.Anandaraj, learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondents.

3.The petitioner claims to be visually disabled person and also getting 35 kgs of rice in the ration card issued to him under the Public Distribution System. It is stated that all of a sudden, without any notice, it has been reduced rice to 15 kgs. Hence, he made representation to the District Collector requesting him to continue the supply for 35 kgs. It has been forwarded to the third respondent which is still pending.
4.Perusal of the records did not show whether the application submitted by the petitioner has been forwarded to the third respondent or not. Therefore, the petitioner is directed to submit a representation to the third respondent who is the authority to consider the representation, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On filing such representation, the third respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks thereafter.
5.With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
