ORDER

Heard the learned counsel appearing for the writ petitioner and the learned Government Advocate appearing for the respondent.

2. This writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

3. The petitioner's husband Sivakumar died in an accident on 04.10.2020. The petitioner applied for Death Certificate. It was also issued. However, in the Death Certificate the petitioner's name has been mentioned as Malathi. Her actual name is Mariammal. The petitioner is described only as Mariammal in all the relevant records. Therefore, the respondent has to be directed to correct her name. No exception can be taken to the said request.

4. The respondent is directed to issue a fresh Death Certificate by correcting the name as Mariammal in place of Malathi. This writ petition is allowed. No costs.
