[Order of the Court was made by M.V.MURALIDARAN, J.] This Writ Petition has been filed for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to give permission and sufficient police protection to conduct "Virattu Manjuvirattu (Jallikattu)" to be held on 29.05.2017 from 10.00 a.m. to 05.00 p.m. At Vegukanmai, Ponnamaravathy Taluk, Pudukkottai District, on the basis of the Petitioner's representation dated 08.05.2017. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

2. Mr.T.R.Janarthanam, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

3.Though the petitioner has sought for the relief as above, the learned Counsel for the petitioner, on instructions, submits that it would suffice, if the representation dated 08.05.2017 is considered by the first respondent as per law.

4. Accordingly, without going into the merits of the petitioner's claim, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner 08.05.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
