PRAYER: The Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action against the respondents 5 to 8 and direct the first respondent to pay compensation of Rs.20,00,000/- to Sheik Faridh for having suffered by the illegal detention, custodial torture, grievous injuries and permanent medical disability meted out to him by the respondent 5 to 8.
