Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner Temple to install 5 Temporary Hundial during the Aadi Festival scheduled to be held on 22.07.2024 and 23.07.2024 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2024 within a time frame that may be fixed by this Court.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed this writ petition for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to grant permission to the petitioner to install 5 temporary Hundial during the Aadi Festival scheduled to be held on 22.07.2024 and 23.07.2024 by considering the petitioner's representation dated 04.07.2024. 2/6

2.It is informed by the learned Government Advocate for the respondents that there are disputes between the villagers and the petitioner for the proposed temple festival to be held on 22.07.2024 and 23.07.2024. 3.It is also informed by the learned Government Advocate that an attempt was made before the Tahsildar. However, no solution was reached and therefore, the matter has now been referred to the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirengam for arriving at peace.

4.The learned Government Advocate would submit that the petitioner's request for placing of Hundial in the representations dated 24.06.2024 and 04.07.2024 will be considered and disposed of suitably after a decision is arrived at before the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirengam. 5.Recording the same, the Revenue Divisional Officer, Srirengam is suo motu impleaded by this Court as fourth respondent in this writ petition to mediate between the disputing parties for conduct of the temple festival on 22.07.2024 and 23.07.2024. The third respondent/the Assistant Commissioner may also take a 3/6

decision on the petitioner's representations dated 24.06.2024 and 04.07.2024 thereafter, immediately., 6.With the above directions, the Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
