PRAYER : Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents to revised pension benefits and other revised terminal benefits like Gratuity Arrears, Leave Salary Arrears and Pension Arrears, etc in the new scale of pay with interest at the rate of 12% per annum payable from the date of retirement of the petitioner to till the date of payment for the said monetary benefits as per the 13th wage settlement dated 04.01.2018, settled to the petitioner within a stipulated time frame as fixed by this Court. ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to revise the pension benefits and other terminal benefits to the petitioner payable from the date of retirement to till the date of payment of him.

2.Mr.J.Senthil Kumariah, learned Standing Counsel takes notice for the respondents. By consent, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. 3.The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that with reference to the prayer sought for in this writ petition, the petitioner sent a representation to the first respondent on 23.06.2019. But, no action has been taken till date. Hence, the petitioner is before this Court for the relief stated supra. 4.In reply, the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents would submit that the petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2019 would be considered on merits and in accordance with law, within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. 5.In agreement with the submission made by the learned Standing Counsel, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, this Court directs the first respondent to consider the representation of the petitioners dated 23.06.2019 on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6.With the above direction, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
