ORDER
This Writ Petition has been filed seeking the relief of Writ of Mandamus, directing the first respondent to provide compassionate appointment to the petitioner as per the recommendation of the second respondent in his proceedings in Na.Ka.No.8931/E2(1)/2006 dated 07.11.2008 1/3
2.The petitioner's father was working as Helper Grade-II in the third respondent office. While he was in service, he died on 25.02.2006. Therefore, the writ petitioner submitted an application on 29.05.2006, for claiming compassionate appointment under the Board. Since no response from the respondent, the petitioner filed this present Writ Petition.
3.The learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondent Board would submit that on receipt of the petitioner's application, the respondent Board has forwarded the application to the District Collector, Virudhunagar for consideration. The same is pending in Na.Ka.No.28472/E2(1)/08 dated 19.06.2009. The second respondent has also sent a communication in Na.Ka.No.15004/E2(1)/2015 dated 02.11.2018 addressed to the Distict collector, virudhunagar. 4.The learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the petitioner has made a representation to the second respondent on 30.08.2019 to consider the petitioner for granting compassionate appointment. Thereafter no order has been passed by the respondent on the petitioner's representation.
5.This Court, by considering the facts and circumstances of this case, directs the first respondent to consider the petitioner's application and to pass appropriate orders in accordance with law and to communicate the same to the petitioner, if it is in order, the status of the said application which is pending before the first respondent, as expeditiously as possible, within a period of twelve
(12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 6.Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
