ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to direct the second respondent police to give police protection to the petitioner and his wife for their life and limb based on the petitioner complaint dated 17.07.2022.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner herein in constructing a house in Perumalkovilpatti Village for which he had made application before the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board for getting new service connection. In the meantime the fourth and fifth respondent herein gave objection petition to grant service connection. When the petitioner herein enquired the fourth and fifth respondent about the objection petition, they threatened him with dire consequences and also attacked him, hence he has filed the present petition. 2/5

3. When the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent police submitted that the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2022 is still pending with the second respondent

4. In view of the same, the second respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 17.07.2022 and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5.With the above direction, this criminal original petition stands disposed of.
