ORDER

The present Criminal Original Petition has been filed by the defacto complainant seeking a direction to the Special Court for Trial cases under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul to number and dispose the protest petition dated 16.02.2026.

2. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on his complaint, an FIR was registered in Crime No.718 of 2025, before the Palani Town Police Station, Dindigul District on 05.11.2025. Thereafter, it has been closed as "mistake of fact" on 18.11.2025. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, she has not been served with the RCS notice. She further submits that the petitioner had filed a protest petition on 16.02.2026 and the same has not been numbered by the trial Court on the sole ground that the referred charge sheet has not been filed before the concerned Court by the investigating agency.

3. The learned Counsel for State of TN(Crl.Side) appearing for the first respondent submitted that referred charge sheet was filed before the concerned trial Court in RCS No.64 of 2025 on 18.11.2025.

4. In view of the above said facts, there shall be a direction to the Special Court for Trial cases under SC/ST (POA) Act, Dindigul, to number the protest petition, if it is otherwise in order and directed to dispose of the same in accordance with law.

5. With the above said observation, this Criminal Original Petition stands disposed of.
