The prayer in this Writ Petition is for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 and 2 to take appropriate measures so as to maintain the Odai situated in Survey No.540, Muneerpallam Village, Palayamkottai Taluk, Tirunelveli District as a permanent waterbody meant for free flow of the rain water by removing the encroachment put up by the third respondent thereon pursuant to the petitioner's representation, dated 24.03.2021 as expeditiously as possible within a time frame.

2. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 & 2, on instructions, submitted that the encroachment, as projected by the petitioner in his representation, dated 24.03.2021, has already been removed. 2/4

3. The said submission is not refuted by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner.

4. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
