Respondents PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to record and upload the petitioner's ancestral property bearing Survey No.345/6 situated in Kuvalaikanni Revenue Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, into the official village and computerized land records, based on the representation, dated 03.12.2024.

ORDER
The petitioner herein seeks a direction to the second respondent to enter the petitioner's name in the village revenue records, namely, village digital records, pertaining to the property situated in Survey No.345/6, Kuvalaikanni Revenue Village, Sankarankovil Taluk, Tenkasi District, by considering his representation, dated 03.12.2024.
2. According to the petitioner, the above mentioned property belonged to him ancestrally and he has been in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioner's name has not been reflected in the village digital records. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation to the first respondent on 03.12.2024, seeking correction of digital records, by entering his name. Pursuant to the said representation, the first respondent called for a report from the second respondent in his proceedings O.Mu.Aa.2/38/2024, dated 13.01.2025. Subsequently, there is no progress in the matter. Hence, the petitioner has come before this Court.
3. The Additional Government Pleader, who takes notice for the respondents, submits that the representation submitted by the petitioner is under consideration of the first respondent and final orders will be passed within a time stipulated by this Court.
4. In view of the above, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the matter, the first respondent is directed to consider the representation of the petitioner, dated 03.12.2024, and pass final orders on its own merits within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs. 24.06.2025 NCC :
